The name “Oktavcymbel” is mentioned only by Irwin in a list of mixtures under the heading “Diapason Chorus”, with no definition. We can only assume it to be some variety of Cymbel.

Examples

Oktavzimbel II, Brustwerk; Kreuzkirche, Dresden, Germany; Jehmlich 1961-63.

Oktavzimbel III 1/2', Schwellwerk; Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen, Magdeburg, Germany; Jehmlich 1995.
