Major Twelfth English

Mentioned only by Irwin in his entry for Twelfth, in which he says: “The Major Twelfth is a very loud form heard in the biggest Diapason Choruses.”

Examples

Major Twelfth 2-2/3', Great; Convention Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA; Midmer-Losh 1929-32. This is the only known example.
